Downtown will be buzzing with celebration and inclusion for the LGBTQ+ community this weekend at the Pikes Peak Pride festival. The theme for the 2024 Pride celebration is “Unite With Pride,” and the festival will take place June 8-9 at Alamo Square Park downtown, next to the Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum. This year, all festival events, are free to attend, ensuring everyone can join in the celebration of diversity and inclusion. That includes a concert by American Idol runner-up Blake Lewis. With more than 130 vendors, live entertainment, a dedicated Youth Square and a vibrant parade, there’s something for everyone.
“Pikes Peak Pride is not just a festival, but a powerful demonstration of our commitment to diversity and inclusion,” said Jessica Laney, president of Pikes Peak Pride, in a press release. “We are proud to bring the community together to celebrate and support one another.”
