Mother’s Day Brunch is back at the Fine Arts Center, featuring a bountiful buffet at Taste with breakfast pastries, salads, charcuterie, an omelet bar, assorted breakfast and lunch foods, a prime rib carving station and desserts. Seatings are at 10 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 12:45 p.m. Make a card for mom at the craft station and make time to explore the museum. Get tickets for a matinee performance of Jagged Little Pill in the theater for an extra-artsy Mother’s Day.

Celebrate Mother’s Day in high style at The Broadmoor’s impressive and abundant Mother’s Day brunch buffet. Of course there are Benedicts, omelets, pastries and any breakfast dish you might imagine. The downtown sustainable seafood spot opens early on May 10 for a special Mother’s Day brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., with moms receiving a complimentary glass of bubbly. Expect Crab Cake Benedict, Blackened Shrimp & Grits, beignets, Nicoise Tuna Salad and French toast, plus the full raw bar.

Royal Gorge Route Railroad

All aboard for Mother’s Day weekend, May 9-10. The two-hour journey through the Royal Gorge runs multiple daily departures, with First Class Lunch and Dinner trains featuring a Surf & Turf three-course experience or casual 403 Grill service aboard Vista Dome, Deluxe and Coach cars. There’s even a laser light show through the canyon on Saturday’s 6:30 p.m. train.
