Upcoming Openings
The Well Welcomes New Food Stalls
315 E. Pikes Peak Ave.
The Well, a food hall on Pikes Peak Ave. in Colorado Springs, will welcome new food stalls in Feb. 2023. The stalls Dun Sun, Noble Burger, and Kumbala Pozoleria & Barbacoa opened with The Well in the spring of 2022 and closed for business in Dec. 2022. The former stalls will be replaced by Colorado-based eateries:
- Formosa Bites: a Taiwanese street food stall that previously operated as a food truck in the area. It will feature familiar and new interpretations of traditional dishes, including potstickers, red chili oil wontons, and popcorn chicken.
- Sivar Central American Cuisine: Sivar makes its debut at The Well offering delicious Central American food favorites like empanadas, plantains and pupusas along with starters, specials and a Sunday brunch menu.
- Tossed: For a healthy and delicious meal, Tossed specializes in salads, wraps, soups and other healthy bites.
The Well will also welcome Shovel Ready, a capstone culinary hospitality creative workforce program giving students hands-on experience in the culinary space.

Skechers
3305 Cinema Point
A new Skechers store will take over the former Pier 1 Imports storefront at the First & Main Town Center on Colorado Springs’ eastside. The store will operate next door to the Party City and will be the second Skechers store to open in the city. While the opening date for the store has yet to be announced, visitors can expect it sometime soon in 2023.
WestFax Brewing
3043 W. Pikes Peak Ave
The new location of WestFax Brewing will have a 3,000 sqft taproom with a rooftop patio plus an additional 1,500 sqft of beer garden space. There will be food trucks outside and the potential for a kitchen in the future.

My Neighbor Felix
1885 Briargate Pkwy
My Neighbor Felix will bring together the cooking of all seven of the culinary regions throughout Mexico. It will also feature a wide selection of tequila and mezcal. The Pan-Mexican menu will feature the likes of mole de Castilla rotisserie chicken, whole red snapper, Pescado Frito Taco, an Aztec bowl, butternut squash empanadas, and house-made goddess hibiscus chips.

Frutilandia

Owners of the Frutilandia food truck will open a brick-and-mortar location in late January 2023. Like the food truck, Frutilandia offers a variety of Mexican desserts and drinks.

Tenko Izakaya at Lulu’s Downstairs
107 Manitou Ave.
Phonephet “Rabbit” Southichack, former head sushi chef at B&R Sushi Bar downtown, will open a Japanese pub on the ground floor above Lulu’s Downstairs in Manitou Springs. The eatery will serve various Japanese fare as shareable appetizers or entrees.

Lemon Lodge Ski Bar

Keep ski season going all year-round at Downtown Colorado Springs’ newest bar and entertainment space, Lemon Lodge Ski Bar. The Olympic-caliber ski and snowboard simulator lets you hit the slopes at worldwide VR resort. And, you can grab some snacks and handcrafted cocktails.

I Heart Mac & Cheese
I Heart Mac & Cheese’s location is yet to be determined but diners can expect cheesy goodness in many forms. The menu features signature and build-your-own mac and cheese bowls and grilled cheese sandwiches, with options including lobster, white truffle, and baked buffalo chicken, with sides such as cheesy broccoli and tater tots, and fountain drinks. Vegan options are available.

7 Brew Drive Thru Coffee

The coffee shop serves coffee, teas, smoothies, sodas, and more. Stay tuned for formal hours of operation as they have yet to be released.

The small, locally-owned boutique will be making its return to Downtown Colorado Springs soon. Halo Boutique specializes in contemporary women’s clothing and accessories and will re-open in between Pikes Peak Lemonade and Mood Tapas.

Bad Ass Coffee

Bad Ass Coffee will be opening a new location in the Springs by the end of 2022. The chain offers a variety of coffee and espresso drinks, blended drinks and smoothies, and teas, as well as sandwiches for breakfast and lunch.

Summa Taphouse

Max Nickelsburg, Scotty Razz, Phil Rooks, and Shelby Paul have taken ownership of N3 Taphouse and have renamed it Summa Taphouse. The menu is focused on global regional comfort food with a gourmet twist to elevate the dishes. Plus, there will be a full bar.

13141 Bass Pro Dr
Notes is a new bar and grill and entertainment space coming to the Springs. The spot will serve food and drinks, host karaoke & trivia, showcase DJs, and serve as a platform for up and coming artists with show-outs.

Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers
Falcon Marketplace
While Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers has multiple locations throughout Colorado Springs, the newest location will join other fast-casual restaurants at the Falcon Marketplace at the northwest corner of Woodmen and Meridian. Guests here can continue to enjoy juicy burgers, creamy custards and savory sides.

Falcon Marketplace
Bringing an expected 300 jobs and anchoring Falcon Marketplace is the new King Soopers development. This massive grocery store provides fresh and affordable food in a one-stop shopping destination. Construction is currently underway.

Highlands at Briargate
Dave and Buster’s, an entertainment center that offers a unique combination of food, drinks, and games, is in the early stages of making its debut in Colorado Springs. Dave and Buster’s is popular among adults and children alike, thanks to their wide range of activities, including arcade games, bowling, laser tag, mini-golf, and virtual reality experiences.

If you’re a fan of bold flavors, then you’ll want to check out Urban Animal Beer Company when it opens its doors in Colorado Springs. Story Coffee
Old Colorado City
With a location already in Acacia Park, the quaint coffee spot seeks to expand into Old Colorado City. The coffee spot, of course, sells a great cup of coffee and some small bites to enjoy but also donates a portion of the proceeds to The Marian House. In preparation for the new location, Story Coffee invites the public to donate to their funding in exchange for exclusive items.

Besides boba tea brewed fresh when ordered, Fat Bee Cafe also offers a variety of flavors of Milk Tea, Fruit Teas, Frosty, fresh organic coffee, and espresso. A popular menu item is the Mango on Fire slushy, which features fresh mango and strawberries.

Turmeric Indian Cuisine will offer family, home-cooked-style meals to the diners in the area. The menu will include tikka masala, vindaloo, and other traditional Indian dishes.

Luxe Daiquiri Lounge will have day parties on Saturdays with a DJ and live music for Sunday events and brunches. The new concept will offer cocktails and daiquiris to pair with the Southern tapa-style menu items and a selection of small bites, like fried ravioli and charcuterie boards.
The Gypsy Room

The Gypsy Room will be a private steampunk, Victorian era, and art deco speakeasy tasting room. The Gypsy Room will serve elegant charcuterie boards but will cater in dishes from local food trucks. Whiskey tastings will also be offered.

Five Times Hospitality Group has announced its newest dining and entertainment destination, FO4R, in North Colorado Springs. This unique space will feature four distinct concepts, each offering something different to guests. Longboard Tacos will serve up delicious Mexican fare, while Manhattan Roo Tapas Kitchen will offer a variety of small plates perfect for sharing. Pause Ultra Lounge & Sushi will be a great spot for cocktails and light bites, and Cansano Italian Steakhouse will offer flavors from the Abruzzo region and Central Italy.

Old Spaghetti Factory
First & Main Town Center
The Old Spaghetti Factory is a family-friendly restaurant chain known for its hearty family-style Italian fare and quirky, refurbished trolley car seating. The Colorado Springs location will take over the former Fox & Hound building and will offer classic favorites like fettuccine alfredo and lasagna with fresh-baked bread, soup or salad. In addition to the trolley car booth seating, the Old Spaghetti Factory space will feature an enclosed patio area and a to-go pickup window.

Paris Banh Mi

Freshly baked goodies and Vietnamese sandwiches are coming soon to Colorado Springs at Paris Banh Mi Cafe and Bakery. The bakery offers a variety of delicious treats tasty Vietnamese banh mi sandwiches on flaky baguettes, to satisfy a savory craving or a sweet tooth.

The French Kitchen (Expansion)

Blandine Mazeran plans to expand The French Kitchen to feature more seating, as well as bar seating with plugs to accommodate working stations. Plus, plans will expand the frozen menu with items such as brioche, which is not offered as a fresh item in the cafe.

Shake Shack
InterQuest Town Center
The popular fast-casual restaurant chain has announced that it will be opening its first Colorado Springs. If you’re not familiar with Shake Shack, it’s known for its burgers, fries, and shakes, as well as its unique milkshake creations. Construction has not yet begun, but we can guarantee that it will be a hot spot once it opens.

Wackadoo

Owner Steven Fuller plans to relocate his brewery to just south of Ute Valley Park. The new location will offer even more brews with 20 beers on tap, a 25-foot bar to the space, as well as indoor and outdoor seating.

Chile Colorado

The menu will feature Colorado-inspired homestyle food and Mexican food that is unique to the state and Colorado Springs. The restaurant will specialize in breakfast burritos, to-go burritos throughout the day, and will feature a full-service bar.

Cambria Hotel
Victory Ridge
Ryan Belford and Ketan Shah plan to open The Cambria Hotel in the Spring of 2022. The new hotel will feature a first-floor restaurant, a rooftop bar and deck, but the menu for the concept is still being developed.

Illegal Pete’s

The popular fast-casual Mexican restaurant has many locations throughout Colorado but will open its first Colorado Springs location in 2022. Guests can enjoy Mission-style burritos, quesadillas, tacos, bowls and a host of signature Illegal Pete’s dishes.

Outlook Briargate
In the former Sears department store space at the Chapel Hills Mall, Evergreen Devco Inc. is building a 300-unit luxury apartment complex called Outlook Briagate. The development will feature one, two and three-bedroom units. Amenities will include a clubhouse, fitness center, outdoor pool, shade structures and barbecue areas. Construction is ongoing, Evergreen Devco Inc. expects the first units should be available to lease sometime in 2022.

Dutch Bros

The popular fast-casual coffee franchise, Dutch Bros, will expand its footprint in Colorado with a new location in Falcon. The new location will offer a double drive-through and surface parking and a separate covered service window for walk-up customers to grab a beverage and some goodies to go.

In-N-Out

When the popular West-coast burger joint opened its doors in Colorado Springs in late 2020, it was well-received, to say the least. Although there is no official opening date yet, construction is underway on a second In-N-Out location near Powers and Constitution.

The popular Metro DC gourmet toast and juice bar is coming to Colorado Springs. The franchise offers açai and smoothie bowls, decadent open-faced toast, pressed juices and smoothies. In addition, Toastique will offer catering services for banquets, parties, get-togethers and other events.
Dos Dos

Dos Dos is a new spin-off concept of Dos Santos Tacos that will feature a grab-and-go area and pick-up counter along with indoor seating, an indoor-outdoor bar and expanded patio seating right in the heart of Downtown Colorado Springs. The menu will focus primarily on burritos but will also offer nachos, salads, bowls and other Yucatán-inspired dishes.
Studio 32 Discotheque

This new music venue pays homage to the iconic Studio 54 with a glamorous Beverley Hills meets Palm Springs twist. A small cover charge gains entry to the dance floor and communal seating in the bar area. All-inclusive suites can be purchased for $250 per person and feature reserved seating, a welcome glass of champagne, charcuterie boards, and unlimited premium drinks served by a dedicated concierge.
Downtown Colorado Springs Pop-Ups
These limited-time engagements offer new or expanding retailers an opportunity to test their concepts in a brick-and-mortar setting while providing additional opportunities for shoppers.
Artist Jack Denton, 31 E. Bijou St. The painter of “Pikes Peak, America’s Mountain” will celebrate the holiday season with an art exhibit and book signing. Denton’s gallery pop-up will be open through Dec. 24.

Following the success of the Springs’ first Whataburger location in decades comes a second location in Northeast Colorado Springs. This location will, of course, serve up its classic burgers and other bites but will also feature a mural inside that depicts some of the Springs’ notable destinations.

Selfie Bear Bear is Colorado Spring’s first selfie boutique, offering a fun interactive art experience. The studio comes equipped with over 20 backdrops, light rings, selfie stands and tons of props for guests to pose with. Guests can drop in for an impromptu photo session or book the studio in advance for private events.
Sasquatch Cookies

The Bigfoot-delivered, craft cookie favorite it expanding with a second location at Red Leg Brewing Company’s outdoor Garrison on the Westside. Plans call for a test kitchen where you can sample new cookie products. The shop will continue to create and sell fresh Sasquatch-sized cookies in 13 mix-and-match flavor combinations.
Burnt Toast Breakfast & Lunch

Downtown Colorado Springs is getting a new brunch spot, Burnt Toast Breakfast & Lunch. The new eatery will offer breakfast and lunch seven days a week. The menu features a blend of southwestern breakfast creations, scram-bowls, French toast, and a selection of avocado toasts.
Amy’s Donuts
Northeast of Powers Blvd and N Carefree Circle
Amy’s Donuts, the family-owned business offering over 100 donut flavors and varieties like Kit Kat, almond banana caramel, glazed, and classic vanilla, will open a second location at the former Colorado Springs Guns & Ammo.
Tattered Cover Bookstore

Tattered Cover Bookstore, the largest independent bookstore in Colorado, plans to open its first Southern Colorado location in the Springs. The store will take over an 8,000-square-foot space Downtown in a preserved 1880s building on Tejon street, formerly home to Zeezo’s costume shop. Besides a vast collection of books, the store will include a café and kids zone.
Seoul Korean BBQ

If you’re a fan of Korean cuisine, you’re in for a treat with Seoul Korean BBQ. This new restaurant will offer authentic, mouthwatering, and exceptionally crafted Korean dishes and sushi, including items like bulgogi, bibimbap and creative spins of classics.

Ultra Flat Black

Ultra Flat Back Gallery/Lounge is a uniquely Colorado Springs establishment that has its roots in the local tattoo, graffiti, and muralist communities. The gallery was founded by Paes 164, an ink artist at neighboring Fallen Heroes Tattoo, who partnered with visual artists Don “Wavy” and “Hoss the Boss” to create a space where up-and-coming Colorado artists can showcase their work.

Creekwalk Colorado Springs
Located between Downtown Colorado Springs and Fort Carson
The 50,000 square-foot Creekwalk development is an urban renewal neighborhood shopping center along Cheyenne Creek and the Ivywild neighborhood. Nature, art and urban planning elements will be showcased as integral aspects to the development’s architecture and landscape.
Watch for phase one openings in mid-October, featuring retailers such as Nekter Juice Bar, VEDA Salon & Spa, MOD Pizza, Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop, Fuzzy’s Taco Shop and more. Phase two, featuring Sprouts Food Market, is scheduled to open in 2022.
Bunzy’s & Booze

Down the street from the Colorado Springs Olympic & Paralympic Training Center, restaurateurs Nicole Martinez and Debbie Downing plan to launch a new restaurant. The restaurant will offer pizza, fried appetizers and signature “Bunzy’s,” a play on the Nebraskan runzy, essentially a delicious stuffed yeast dough pocket.
Batch Slapped Brewing

A father and son and son-in-law team led by Brian Schute plans to open Batched Slapped Brewing soon. Batched Slapped Brewing offers one-of-a-kind batches of crafted beer, hard cider, cider ales and a unique atmosphere to enjoy with great company.
The Human Bean

You may have pulled through the Human Bean in Woodland Park. Now the drive-thru coffee franchise is bringing its espresso and coffee beverages to the Springs. The brand will open its first Colorado Springs location in the Village Seven area of Academy Boulevard before the end of the year.
La Burla Bee
110 N. Nevada Ave.
La Burla Bee, a new restaurant, bar, and performance venue will feature a full-service bar and Italian-inspired cuisine. Plus, Keeping tradition with the space’s LGBTQIA-friendly past, it will be home to nightly entertainment (except Mondays, when closed) and weekly burlesque and cabaret performances.
Mici Handcrafted Italian

From light, fresh salads and gelato to hearty, hand-rolled meatballs and pizza, the fast-casual Mici Handcrafted Italian brings its authentic Italian recipes to its second location in Colorado Springs, at Union and Powers. Like the first location at Carefree and Powers, Mici’s Briargate location will offer sit-down, takeout and catering services.
Bell Brothers Brewing
114 N Tejon St. Ste 110
Bell Brothers Brewing, founded by brothers Cody and Curtis Bell, will open in Downtown Colorado Springs and serve shareable plates like charcuterie boards and crudités platters alongside exceptional craft brews. They’ll also serve wines, spirits, and ciders that will all come from local businesses. Watch for the brewery in the former Zeezo’s building.
Vultures
2100 E. Platte Ave.
Mike and Aspen Nipp (former co-owners of the Burrowing Owl) and Geoff Brent (The Black Sheep) open a vintage rock and roll-inspired pub and concert venue in the former Angry Pirate Bar. The restaurant offers craft and domestic beers, cocktails, charcuterie boards, panini sandwiches, salads and some vegan options. Down the block from the Black Sheep, Vultures hosts more intimate shows.
Hyatt Place Downtown
201 E Kiowa St.
The latest in the wave of new downtown hotels is on the verge of opening. Located across from City Hall at Nevada Avenue and Kiowa Street, the 120-room hotel will include a pool, spa, fitness center, meeting spaces and a restaurant and lounge. The Hyatt Place Downtown is currently accepting reservations for Oct. 29 and beyond.
Torchy’s Tacos
1358 Interquest Pkwy
With origins in Austin, Torchy’s sets out to make taco junkies in the Springs, with a wide variety of “damn good tacos,” queso, margaritas and passion for good, responsibly sourced food. Its first local location is Interquest.
Lee’s Sandwiches
5660 Barnes Rd
Lee’s Sandwiches originated in Southern California but is quickly expanding into Colorado with locations in Denver and Colorado Springs. The sandwich franchise offers traditional Vietnamese banh mi options, Euro-style sandwiches, fresh-baked baguettes, croissants and the signature Lee’s Coffee.
