Viva Mexican cuisine! Our closest neighbors to the south have given us a great gift in the flavors and dishes that flourish south of the border. When it comes to Mexican restaurants, Colorado Springs has many gems. Fortunately for us all, there has been an evolution underway, bringing a greater range and complexity of Mexican flavors, dishes and traditions to local menus.
So what’s the best Mexican restaurant in Colorado Springs? You voted in our annual People’s Choice Awards, and here are the Top 3 and Winner.

Miguel’s Mexican Bar and Grill
Miguel’s is a longstanding local Mexican favorite. Miguel Martin and Manuel Pacheco first met working their way up through the restaurant industry. Since 2005 they have built a strong following for their own restaurants built on authentic Mexican flavors, creating neighborhood favorites in Cheyenne Mountain and on the Westside’s 8th Street. They are currently doubling their local footprint, with the next Miguel’s opening soon off Woodmen and Rangewood and a Rockrimmon location close on its heels. Don’t miss the house specialties like Molcajete Guadalajara and Barbacoa Plate.

Por Favor Tacos and Tragos
Since opening in 2024, Por Favor quickly gained a strong following — and for good reason. Their exceptional flavors, creative cocktails and warm, family service landed them on our list of 30 Best Restaurants. These are some of the best tacos in the Springs, and the prices are an excellent value. We’re not surprised the Galvan family just opened a second location in Northgate. The fans just can’t get enough. Read more about Por Favor in our feature here.

And the Winner of the Best Mexican Restaurant in Colorado Springs Is

Crystal Park Cantina
The Cantina is a vibe. Maybe it’s the quiet, natural setting of its location, tucked away in a quiet side-canyon, or maybe it’s the Manitou authenticity infused by its family ownership (which includes former Denver Bronco Justin Armour). The margaritas are some of the best in town, and it’s hard to beat sipping them on that patio. Of course, come on a cold day and the adobe interior adds a coziness to the Mexican comfort food experience. It’s no surprise this long-time favorite was the People’s Choice winner.
