Chicken Salad Chick

Chicken Salad Chick expands to Briargate with a chance to win free chicken salad for one year.

Chicken Salad Chick is opening its second Colorado Springs location on April 23, bringing more of its signature Southern-style chicken salad to the Briargate neighborhood. Located near the Promenade Shops at Briargate, the fast-casual restaurant is kicking off with a big grand opening giveaway: The first 100 guests in line will win free chicken salad for a year.

The new location is owned by Colorado Springs locals Kirsten Garrett and her mother, Judy DeVincentis, who brought the brand to the city in 2023 with their first store on Barnes Road. After discovering Chicken Salad Chick while stationed in Alabama during her service in the Air Force, Garrett brought her love for the brand back to Colorado Springs.

“I’m incredibly proud to continue growing Chicken Salad Chick’s presence here in Colorado Springs,” Garrett said in a press release. “What started as a personal love for the brand has grown into a deep appreciation for the community we’ve built through our restaurants. Chicken Salad Chick offers something truly special: fresh, flavorful food served with a side of hospitality. I’m thrilled to continue sharing that experience with both our new and returning guests.”

The menu features more than a dozen styles of chicken salad. The Fancy Nancy combines Fuji apples, grapes and pecans. And the Classic Carol is the recipe that started it all, featuring finely shredded chicken, minced celery, mayonnaise and the brand’s secret seasoning. Guests will also find soups, sandwiches, side salads and desserts.

The Briargate location offers dine-in and patio seating, takeout, delivery and catering. Opening week giveaways will run through April 26, with daily prizes for the first guests in line. Guests hoping to score free chicken salad for a year must be 16 years or older, secure a place in line, download the Chicken Salad Chick app and make a qualifying purchase once doors open to claim their reward. Learn more about the giveaway and grand opening on their Facebook page.

Giving back to the community is also an important focus for Garret, DeVincentis and the Chicken Salad Chick brand, which established the CSC Foundation to support CURE Childhood Cancer and local food banks with fundraisers throughout the year. As part of the Briargate pre-opening events for friends and family, the restaurant will be raising money for the Giving to Little Hands Foundation to support families facing their children’s serious health conditions.
