Where to Eat Local: Outdoor Dining, Heated Patios

Here’s where you can get your favorite dishes and drinks now — and how you can help your favorite restaurants stay strong.

The last few years have seen a renaissance in the local dining scene as both the quantity and quality of restaurants has boomed. And then came COVID. It’s no secret that restaurants and bars have been hit hard by the pandemic, or that they are facing a long, hard winter. Simply put, they need a little help and a whole lot of love from the community.

That’s why Visit Colorado Springs (VCOS) is asking everyone to be a local business hero by supporting local restaurants, breweries and distilleries this winter. To help, VCOS has created an ongoing list of local eateries with outdoor dining and heated patios. You can always bundle up and eat in the socially distanced outdoor patios — and share with the hashtag #bundleup — or order carryout, purchase a gift card or support your favorite hot spots by leaving a good review.

VCOS is also encouraging everyone to “become a local business hero” by participating in the ongoing community support campaigns including VCOS’s Peak of Safety Pledge, SBDC’s Bundle Up for Small Business, the City of COS’s Small Acts and Downtown Partnership’s Shop Small Pledge.
