In 2019, Lulu’s Downstairs opened its hipster chic lounge in Manitou Springs, bringing new life to the former long-time restaurant Castaways. Early in 2024, it moved to the heart of Colorado Springs, ascended a couple flights of stairs and reopened as Lulu’s Downtown. The move restored the space to its earlier roots as a concert hall, where the former 32 Bleu had brought in fairly big artists through much of the early 2000s. Continuing the tradition, Lulu’s Downtown typically hosts an excellent lineup of artists and has returned the intimate downtown space into one of the Springs leading hot spots for live music in Colorado Springs.
Now Lulu’s Downtown is evolving again, expanding its offerings with extended hours for early birds and daytime downtowners. As of September, you can enjoy LuLu’s from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily as an ideal space for remote work, coffee meetings or simply grabbing a toasty beverage.
The vibe is eclectic and welcoming, perfect for a creative workspace or a cozy gathering place. Swing by to try Lulu’s Day Drinker menu, featuring classic espresso drinks like Americanos, cortados and lattes alongside boozy options that include an Espresso Negroni and Irish Coffee.
