When they met, Jim Jackson was a clown with the heart of an edgy performance artist, and Birgitta De Pree was an edgy performance artist with the heart of a clown. Their romantic and artistic union led to thousands of sensational performances and one of the few venues in the West dedicated to original performance: the Millibo Art Theatre (MAT). The couple founded the Millibo in 2001 to provide new and original live performances in an intimate, accessible theatre for audiences of all ages in the Pikes Peak region. Jim and Birgitta have performed extensively internationally and throughout the U.S. For more than 20 years, the MAT has presented adventurous theatre productions that impact the imagination, widen world views and reveal our common humanity.
