Sometimes you just need a quick getaway. Each of these boutique hotels in Denver delivers a top-shelf experience in its own unique way.

You want to know an often overlooked perk of living in Colorado Springs? It’s proximity to Denver, especially when it comes to a quick, easy getaway to an even bigger city. Don’t get me wrong — we love the Springs and all it has to offer. In fact, we have a whole series of Creative Stays that we curated with local artists recommending their favorite spots to stay and places to go. But sometimes you just need to get out of town. That’s when Denver is perfect for an easy-to-reach overnight or weekend stay.

There has been a wave of unique boutique Denver hotels that have opened in recent years, and they will put you in the center of the Mile High City’s thriving food, arts, sports, music, entertainment and cultural scenes. Everyone has their own travel style and preference of things to do, but we’ve chosen three of the best Denver hotels for three different styles of getaway. These three boutique hotels will put you within walking or scootering distance of top restaurants, bars, museums, outdoor access and more. We won’t blame you though if you don’t even want to leave the hotel.

The Hotel

The 50-room Ramble Hotel blends vintage Parisian style and a comfortably Colorado elegance. It’s upscale but not pretentious. You could call it a craft hotel that sets a high bar for attention to detail. The unassuming front desk doubles as a concierge, set within the spacious lobby that feels like a chic living room. The star of the lobby is Death and Co, an outpost of the renowned New York City original. Its superb cocktails measure up to its grand appearance, with towering arched mirrors behind the bar and glamorous chandeliers overhead. And guest rooms boast high ceilings and a wall of factory-paned windows that open for fresh air.

With the Super Mega Bien restaurant on-site by a James Beard-recognized team, it’s hard to want to leave the Ramble Hotel. But RiNo is home to many of the best restaurants in Denver, including Michelin Star and James Beard Award winners, as well as hundreds of murals and art galleries waiting to be explored.

Just save lots of time for lounging beside the rooftop pool, one of only a few rooftop pools in Denver that are heated for year-round use. You can order to your poolside cabana, but make sure you visit Rare Bird, the Halcyon’s airy rooftop bar.
