If you’re a foodie, art lover or cocktail aficionados, The Ramble Hotel is your ideal base for a Denver getaway in RiNo. Of course, if you simply love stylish boutique hotels and personalized service, you’re going to love the Ramble.
Denver’s River North, aka RiNo, overflows with creativity, from its many art studios, galleries and murals to many of Denver’s best restaurants, craft breweries, wineries and distilleries. As the River North Arts District slogan says, this is “Where Art Is Made.” The former industrial zone along the South Platte River is now one of the hippest neighborhoods in Denver, and it’s home to the Ramble Hotel.

Sitting at the district’s confluence with Denver’s Ballpark and Five Points neighborhoods, the 50-room boutique Ramble Hotel blends vintage Parisian style and artisanal vibes. The richly jewel-toned lobby feels like a chic living room, filled with cozy loveseats and armchairs, coffee and dining tables, and glamorous chandeliers hung from the two-story ceilings.
The rooms at The Ramble boast the same comfortably elegant style. High ceilings and nearly full-wall, factory-paned windows lend a spacious feel and allow abundant natural light to dance with the midnight blue accent walls and wood, leather and metallic accents. The attention to detail at the Ramble is impressive, from the leather key pouches and Persian rugs to the iPad controls for your room climate and Bluetooth Victrola audio system.
Don’t Miss: Death & Co
The Ramble’s marquee lobby bar is Death & Co, and it’s worthy of a visit all on its own. Backed by towering, mirrored arches, the impressive bar is one of only four Death & Co locations in the nation. Its renowned New York City original has won awards such as America’s Best Cocktail Bar. These cocktails are impeccable, both on the menu and off. The Terrapin Station is a rich, smooth standout built on a base of Probitas white rum.

If you want a more intimate setting, book a tucked-away table on the mezzanine at Suite 6A. And in warm weather months, the Garden offers a casual patio scene with city skyline views. You will need reservations for this hot spot, but hotel guests have priority.
Bonus note: Each in-room bar is stocked by Death & Co with local craft spirits, mixology tools and coffee table books of Death & Co recipes.
Where to Eat in RiNo
You’ll need much more than a weekend to eat and drink your way through all of RiNo’s amazing options. The Ramble Hotel is also home to Super Mega Bien, a Latin American meets dim sum tapas concept by the James Beard Award-recognized team behind Work and Class (which is on the next block). Of Colorado’s six Michelin Star restaurants, two are within a mile of The Ramble: Beckon and Brutø, and there are many more Michelin and James Beard honored restaurants in the neighborhood. We found superb flavors at Mister Oso, a Michelin Bib Gourmand where the menu is easier on the budget. Try the salmon ceviche and Mojo Tacos, with coconut braised pork shoulder.

Across the street from the Ramble Hotel, Port Side serves an amazing avocado toast topped with radish and togarashi Japanese seasoning. Two blocks away, the Denver Central Market food hall overflows with an abundance of variety among its 11 vendors — Ice cream lovers, don’t miss the High Point Creamery. And nearby breweries and distilleries include Great Divide, Epic Brewing, Bierstadt Lagerhouse, Odell, Mile High Spirits and Ironton Distillery.
We made the Infinite Monkey Theorem part of our stay for a delightful wine tasting. Sadly, the innovative urban winery recently announced it will permanently close at the end of 2024. If you have any chance to visit before then, go and raise a glass to the RiNo O.G. that brought us all exceptional Colorado canned wines. And watch for a farewell party in December.
What to Do Near the Ramble Hotel
The RiNo Arts District is home to many art galleries and studios and more than 200 murals. They’re everywhere, so simply getting out and walking around is a great way to enjoy the vibrant artworks. Walking to or around the Arkins Promenade is a great way to explore both art and nature. The treehouse-like elevated walkway overlooks the South Platte River and leads to the RiNo Art Park, which is home to several outdoor installations and a collection of small galleries. Architectural Digest called the Arkins Promenade one of “The 11 Most Beautiful Elevated Walkways Through Nature.”

Music lovers should check the schedule of world-class artists playing at the Mission Ballroom. And the Nocturne is a sultry and sophisticated supper club with live jazz nightly by local and national musicians.
If you want to explore some of Denver’s largest museums and music venues, you’re only a few miles from the Denver Art Museum, the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver, Meow Wolf Convergence Station, Ball Arena and Empower Field at Mile High.
Seasonal Specials at the Ramble
The Ramble Hotel’s Season’s Greetings Package makes the holidays even more magical. In December, guests will be enveloped in a gilded holiday setting centered around a holiday “ArtistTree” created by local florist and designer Whitney Schedeler. Death & Co. will be serving a festive holiday cocktail menu, its highly anticipated holiday cocktail suite, and seasonal decor throughout.
Guests who book the Season’s Greetings amenity package will receive a wrapped holiday gift from Denver artist Joon Tajadod, Death & Co’s famous eggnog and Uncle Wes’s Drunken Cookies delivered in-room, and a $50 Death & Co credit. The package starts at $390 per night .
