There’s a new kind of craft spirit on the way. A rarity as a local wine producer, Evergood Elixirs is coloring outside the lines of your average vino with its slope-themed Skier Pee and Snow Bunny. Think wine coolers with higher ABV. “It’s wine coolers on steroids, or others have referred to it as adult Kool-Aid,” says founder and vintner Matthew Hexter.
How do they taste? The hard lemon and strawberry-lemon flavored wines are comparable to Smirnoff Ice or Mike’s Hard Lemonade-just more potent.
The citrus wines are expected to hit shelves soon in 22-ounce bomber bottles. Hexter says the company has inked an agreement with Vail Resorts for a trial run at its Breckenridge properties this summer, and Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC will carry the elixirs at home games in the upcoming season. Plus, because the beverages are wines, imbibing snow bunnies and, er, skier pee-ers will be able to purchase online.
