This guided walk explores the deep connections between people and plants, highlighting how humans in this region have used native species for food, medicine, tools, and cultural traditions. Along the trail, participants will learn to identify key plants, hear stories of their historical uses, and gain a new appreciation for the living landscape that has supported human life for thousands of years.

Distance is about 1 mile along mostly paved trails. Please note that this is a one-way hike into the Park; participants are encouraged to continue exploring the Central Garden or may return to the Visitor Center with the guide. Weather dependent.

Dolores Huerta is among the most important, yet least known, activists in American history. An equal partner in co-founding the first farm workers unions with Cesar Chavez, her enormous contributions have gone largely unrecognized. Dolores tirelessly led the fight for racial and labor justice alongside Chavez, becoming one of the most defiant feminists of the twentieth century—and she continues the fight to this day, at 87. With intimate and unprecedented access to this intensely private mother to eleven, the film reveals the raw, personal stakes involved in committing one’s life to social change. About Jason Bonham's Led Zeppelin Evening

A lot of talented children have probably been asked by a parent to entertain family and friends, maybe in the living room, maybe sing a little, play an instrument. No big deal and a good way to get used to performing for others. But when Jason Bonham was a small child and got called in to entertain, the family friends he played his drums for could be anyone from Jimmy Page to some of the guys from the group Bad Company. That's what happens when your father is drummer John Bonham, one of the original members of the legendary rock band Led Zeppelin.

At the age of only five, Jason could play the drums, at least a scaled-down set of them, with skill. When he was 17 he was a member of the band Air Race. The group signed a record contract with Atlantic Records, recorded one album, and opened for big names like Queen, Meat Loaf, Ted Nugent, and AC/DC. John Bonham died in 1980, but Jason, who has marked a few places in music history himself, has stepped in from time to time to help keep his father's memory alive.

Wildflowers in the park can come in many different varieties and colors. Join us for this guided wildflower walk to see and learn more about our local flowers. The walk will follow the Gateway Trail from the dirt parking lot at the park's main entrance. There may be some time spent on the Foothills or Bretag Trails as well. Distance is about 1-1.5 miles total along mostly paved trails with some shorter time on dirt trails possible. Weather dependent.

Currently on view, Sofía Gallisa Muriente’s Lluvia con nieve (2014) uses archival footage from 1955 of a US plane landing in Puerto Rico carrying two tons of snow.

Clay Walker stands as a towering figure in country music, his illustrious career marked by multi-PLATINUM sales, 11 chart-topping hits and 40 singles on the charts. His songs, including classics like "If I Could Make A Living" and "She Won’t Be Lonely Long," resonate deeply, etching his name into the fabric of the genre. In 1996, Walker faced a new battle with Multiple Sclerosis (MS), but rather than yielding to its challenges, he emerged as a fierce advocate and fundraiser, establishing the Clay Walker Foundation to support those affected by the disease.

Each year, the Clay Walker Charity Classic at Pebble Beach shines a light on his tireless efforts, raising awareness and funds for MS research. His February single, “Cowboys in Heaven” beautifully captures his journey in country music, evoking both nostalgia and reflection over his 30+ year career. Last year, he dropped “I Know She Hung The Moon,” originally written and released by friend and late musician, Toby Keith. His latest album, Texas To Tennessee soared to No. 1 on the iTunes Country Albums chart, drawing inspiration from legends including George Jones, James Taylor and Bob Seger. Completing a 5-month run at the Tropicana LV Resort Casino in ‘Yesterday – The Beatles Tribute” on the Las Vegas strip in 2021, Yesterday toured in Mexico and Canada. Returning again to Mexico in December, 2023 Yesterday will embark on a Canadian tour in 2025.
