Local food and produce are more accessible than ever for everyone since Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) funds can be used at farmers markets. And Colorado will match SNAP dollars with up to $20 of Double Up coupons per day to be used strictly on Colorado-grown produce.

Each farmers market is unique with vendors often rotating throughout the markets in the city, so each trip can be a chance to discover new treasures and new businesses. Monday Markets

Summer Farmers Market at the Mining Museum

Mondays and Wednesdays
June 11 – October
Western Museum of Mining and Industry

Located at the Western Museum of Mining and Industry every Monday (and Wednesday) from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., this market offers visitors a chance to peruse local vendors selling fresh produce, handmade crafts and other artisanal goods. The Pikes Peak Library District Bookmobile is usually there on Mondays for Storytime. Of course, it’s a great chance to check out the fascinating history of mining in Colorado. Doublecheck the dates with the Mining Museum, as they have announced the market but not specified exact dates for 2024.

Wednesday Farmers Markets

Colorado Farm and Art Market

June 18 – Oct. 15
Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum

Rain, snow, wind or shine, the Colorado Farm and Art Market (CFAM) meets downtown every Wednesday at 3-7 p.m. with a host of local vendors selling everything from meats and produce to art and handmade clothing. Everything is made or grown in Colorado. CFAM is a collaborative and interactive event — attendees can sign up for open mics, art walks, live music and more.

Colorado Springs Farmers Market, Briargate

May 28 – Sept. 24
7610 North Union Blvd. in the State Farm parking lot

Pick up your fresh seasonal produce midweek in Briargate near Union and Briargate boulevards. This gathering averages about 35 local vendors. Regulars include Abdul’s Produce, Royal Crest Dairy, Mountain Man Honey, Homemade Bread and more. Organizers say this farmers market will be even bigger this year.

Thursday Farmers Markets

Banning Lewis Ranch Community Market

May 22 – Aug. 28
Vista Park, 8833 Vista Del Pico Blvd., Banning Lewis Ranch

Banning Lewis Ranch is known for its sense of community, and neighbors and visitors gather every Thursday at 4-7 p.m. for this farmers market and summer concert combo. As for the Community Market, expect vendors such as Hanson Honeybee Farm, Orcutt Land and Cattle, 6th Day Farms, Sourdough Boulangerie, Cabin Light Candles and many more. Summer Market at Buffalo Lodge Bicycle Resort

Buffalo Lodge Bicycle Resort, 2 El Paso Blvd.

The Buffalo Lodge in Manitou is always filled with community activity, including this Summer Market on Thursdays at 6-8 p.m.on the party patio. Enjoy live music and locally crafted drinks, while browsing local artists and vendors set up right outside the main Lodge. Vendors and music will vary by week, so each week will hold new surprises.

Woodland Park Farmers Market

June 6 – September
Memorial Park and on Henrietta Avenue and Center Street, Woodland Park

Wander up to Woodland Park for the award-winning farmers market at 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Fridays. Since 1990, the market has offered residents access to safe and affordable food, and it has since expanded its offerings to include specialty foods, prepared foods and food trucks. PBJ Cattle Company, The Urban Orchard, Smarty Plants and Microvora are just a few of the regulars. Besides food and produce from local growers, the market also hosts various health and wellness vendors, artisanal crafts and more.

Saturday Farmers Markets

Backyard Market Black Forest

May 24 – Oct. 11

A farmers market in the forest, the Backyard Market sets up shop in the heart of Black Forest every Saturday at 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. More than 50 farmers, growers, makers and vendors regularly gather with their produce, baked goods, crafts, jewelry, clothes and more. You’ll also find live music, chefs at the market, a kids corner and a young entrepreneur program. Some vendors include Fluffy Butt Farm, Fox Meadow Farm, Campfire Coffee, Ellen’s Flowers, The Sourdough Boulangerie and The Colorado Jewelry Company.

Colorado Farm and Art Market

The Margarita at Pine Creek, 7350 Pine Creek Rd.

Every Saturday at 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., The Margarita at Pine Creek welcomes Colorado Farm and Art Market attendees to their patio for live music, brunch food, an espresso bar and full drink bar. Behind the restaurant, local growers, ranchers, farmers, artisanal food vendors and handcrafted art vendors set up shop. Please note that this market location is not ADA accessible due to its gravel lot location.

Old Colorado City Farmers Market

June 7 – Oct. 11
Bancroft Park, Old Colorado City

From 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday, Bancroft Park fills with guests enjoying local goods, crafts and other handmade items. This farmers market has 24 full-time vendors selling a wide range of local produce, meats, cheeses, honey, flowers and more. Plus, temporary booths pop up each week, welcoming new discoveries with every visit. This has been one of Colorado Springs most consistent farmer’s markets for more than 35 years.

Fountain Community Metcalf Park Market

May 31 – Sept. 27

Saturday is farmers market day in Fountain. You’ll find face painting in the gazebo, plus a full array of local produce, foods, crafts and products. You’ll find more than 40 vendors. Pueblo’s Musso Farms is a regular. So are food trucks, fruity drinks and DJs.

Since 2009, Monument has hosted a monumental outdoor farmer’s market every Saturday in the summer. From 8 a.m. until 2 p.m., 55 or more vendors offer a variety of local goods from local businesses. Vendors may change week to week but expect to see booths from Mountain Man Honey, Pampered Chef, C and R Farms, Abdul’s Produce, Royal Crest Dairy, DoTerra and many more.

Sunday Markets

Colorado Springs Farmers Markets, Cordera

Fresh is always in season when the farmers market comes to the Cordera neighborhood on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. You’ll find around 35 vendors, with a rotating roster of locals, including Royal Crest Dairy, Pampered Chef and Mountain Man Honey.

Hunt + Gather

This specialty foods and artisan market is the newest in town. The downtown open-air experience happens every other Sunday with the sights, sounds and flavors of Colorado Springs. Expect curated farm-fresh food, handcrafted goods and small-batch creations from local makers, bakers, growers and doers.
