Find Your Favorite Movie Theater in Colorado Springs

Cushy recliners? Bottomless popcorn? Full bar? Family fun? Here’s where to find it all—just in time for holiday blockbuster season.

The holidays can be a joyful time to spend with family, but sometimes you’ve just got to get out of the house. Whether it’s an alternative to tired traditions or to get a break from annoying relatives, catching a holiday season blockbuster can be a perfect antidote. With a number of different amenities at each movie theater, there’s a seat—hopefully reclining and well-cushioned—for everyone’s preference. Here are some of our picks for the holidays or all year round.

Experience Luxury

The newest theater to town, Icon Cinema, is perfect for the full, luxury experience. Order a popcorn and soda with unlimited refills. And take a seat in the comfy, leather chairs, large enough to fit a person and a half, and each with an electric reclining feature so you can find the perfect viewing angle. While the screens are still big, the theaters aren’t packed as tightly, so you’re able to spread out and enjoy. Plus, with reserved seating, you can check out blockbuster Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker without having to wait in long lines for the perfect spot in the theater.

Best for a BIG Movie

If you love your movies loud and large, the IMAX theater at Cinemark Carefree Circle is where you can see the next big hit. Make it an event with dinner at on-site restaurants the Wobbly Olive or Bar Louie, and get there early for a game or two at the theater’s arcade. Catch an adventure movie like Jumanji: The Next Level for a next-level experience.

Kimball’s Peak Three Theater is downtown Colorado Springs’ theater, and has been for 25 years. With just a few screens, it’s an intimate and eclectic setting, complete with a full bar for wine and beer. Kimball’s is also the spot for independent films and art flicks, and the quiet adult setting makes it a great date night. Grab a glass of your favorite beverage for the cinematic remake of the musical Cats.

For the Frequent Movie-Goer

If you go to the movies weekly or more, AMC Chapel Hills 13 is a great home base. Sure, it has the new amenities—including jumbo digital screens, reserved seat selection, signature recliners and a bar—but the real perk is the AMC Stubs Premiere membership. The membership allows you to see up to three movies a week, get discounts on concessions and other rewards, for memberships starting at $21.95 per month. So you can weep through Little Women as many times as you want when it comes to the big screen this Christmas.

Family Night—and Day

Seeing an epic tale on the big screen can leave the little ones starstruck. If you’re looking for a full family entertainment fest, head for Regal Interquest. You can catch the show at Regal, then wander next door to Summit Interquest for laser tag or bowling. After the premiere of Frozen 2, you might just get the whole bowling alley singing along!
