Sip, sip, hooray! The annual Manitou Springs Colorado Wine Festival is back to once again celebrate the state’s burgeoning wine-making industry. In fact, all of the vendors are from the Centennial State. From reds, whites and rosés to meads and glögg, this year’s festival is nothing to wine about.
Unlike previous years, the event will span over two days at Memorial Park in Manitou Springs on Aug. 28-29. Over 30 Colorado wineries will be pouring wine from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. and 3 – 6 p.m. each day alongside local live music performances and tons of tasty food trucks.
Upon entry, guests receive their wine tasting necessities, including a commemorative Manitou Springs Colorado Wine Festival glass and a six-bottle tote to store all of the wine, mead or glögg you can carry. Of course, you also get unlimited tastings from all participating wineries.
Pop from tent to tent for tastings or “wine” down on a picnic blanket with a glass or two and enjoy those gorgeous Manitou Springs mountain-scape views. Live music will be playing all day from local bands, including All Aboard, Edith Makes a Paperchain, Manitou Strings and You Knew Me When. Just remember that kids and pets are not allowed unless you have a Designated Driver ticket.
You can find tickets and more event information at ManitouSprings.org.
