The award-winning Castle Rock brewery is expanding to Colorado Springs in the former Trinity Brewing location.

It was bit of bittersweet news for Colorado Springs beer lovers when Trinity Brewing announced at the end of November that it would be closing its doors after 17 years. But it came with a silver lining that Castle Rock-based 105 West Brewing Company would be taking over the space on Garden of the Gods Road to open its second location: 105 West @ Garden of the Gods.

Trinity poured its last with a final farewell weekend in late December. Now the veteran-owned 105W is working on renovations with a goal of opening in mid-January, according to their Dec. 31 social post.

The new brewery promises the same gratuity-free, casual and community-focused vibe that it is known for in Castle Rock. It will also features:

• 24 105 West beers on tap

• Wood-fired pizza & Smoked Wings

• A new grill menu

• Bear’l Cellars wine, made by 105 West in Castle Rock

• Draft mead, pre-mixed cocktails, canned cider and nonalcoholic beers

• Housemade Gluhwein for Christmas

• Wine based frozen cocktails during warmer months

The brewery also said via social media that it will keep some Trinity traditions alive, while adding their own flair.

Among the new renovations are new draft systems, updated audio and video, new lighting, fresh paint and drywall and more.

105 West Brewing celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2025. It was founded by Eric Suefert. The brewery won awards at the Great American Beer Festival in 2017 (silver for Lemon Rye) and 2018 (gold for Apricot Saison).
