After two years of multi-weekly pop-ups at local markets, Green Magick is taking root downtown. The unique botanical shop will take its place inside CO.A.T.I. across from Hayato Ramen. Owner Carol Smith will host a grand opening and ribbon cutting at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1.
Green Magick will feature its own handcrafted herbs, spices, teas, seasonings, honey, botanical body care, bath products and men’s grooming goods. Shoppers will also find a curated collection of candles, incense, crystals, ritual items, artwork and other botanical and metaphysical goods.
Smith began her career as a cosmetologist, but a health scare led her to explore herbal remedies, natural foods and plant-based approaches to everyday wellness. That interest eventually grew into a business rooted in natural, locally sourced products. Smith shares every part of Green Magick with her husband, Jonathan Smith, an Army veteran and the inspiration behind many of the products they create. Together, they have grown Green Magick as a veteran family-owned business.
The Green Magick Vault will also showcase other Colorado vendors Smith has met through the local market circuit. By bringing several makers into one space, the shop will offer customers more variety while helping other small businesses reach a wider audience.
“After two years of meeting customers at markets, we’re incredibly excited to have a space of our own where we can share the products we make and introduce people to products from other Colorado makers we genuinely believe in,” Smith says. “We’re looking forward to becoming a permanent part of the downtown community and creating a shop where people can discover something new each time they visit.”
Despite a common misconception prompted by its name, The Green Magick Vault does not sell products containing CBD or THC. Its focus is on botanical ingredients, natural goods, handcrafted products and metaphysical items.
