Gold Star Bakery

Gold Star Pies will move to a brick-and-mortar as Gold Star Bakery in Ivywild School.

Gold Star Pies has long been a favorite local food truck. Now it’s joining the Blue Star Group and moving into a full-scale brick-and-mortar dessert destination, opening inside Ivywild School as Gold Star Bakery in November. The new sweets shop will be able to serve its loyal customer base year-round and serve pies, cookies and other homemade treats throughout Ivywild School.

Founder and owner of Gold Star Pies, Heather Briggs, and her sister/baker, Tessa Flowers, will still be actively involved in the evolution of the menu and baking in the kitchen. “It’s a win, win for everyone,” Briggs said in an announcement.

Gold Star Bakery will continue to serve favorite flavors, such as Bourbon Pecan, Tart Cherry, Dutch Apple, German Chocolate and Blueberry Cobble. Whole 9-inch pies are available to order. Patrons also can buy pie by the slice — with optional cocktail pairings at the Principal’s Office. Watch for additional treats, and follow Gold Star Pies for more details leading up to the Grand Opening scheduled for Nov. 1. Read more about the move at Gold Star Pies Evolves at Ivywild School.
