Where to Find the Best Wings in Colorado Springs

Nothing says game day like a plate full of wings. Here are seven of our favorite spots for those saucy little delicacies.

Nothing says football (or March Madness or Stanley Cup playoffs or any big game) like a plate piled with chicken wings. Whether you love traditional Buffalo, dry rub, smoked, grilled or even double baked, there’s no shortage of delicious wings in Colorado Springs. Here are a few of our tried-and-true favorites — perfect for watching the game at the pub or bringing them to a party.

O’Malley’s Steak Pub

Located in Palmer Lake, these wings are worth the drive. The best way to describe the wings from O’Malley’s? CRISPY. And that’s how you want ‘em. Both the wing sauce and the bleu cheese dressing are made in-house too. You can order anywhere from five to 100 wings — OK, the website says you can order 1,000. And once you taste them you may want to.

O’Furry’s Sports Bar & Grill

Three words. Double. Dipped. Wings. These babies are deep-fried and then dipped in O’Furry’s special blend of spicy and teriyaki sauces before they finished them on the grill. Both the regular Buffalo and double-dipped wings are always crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. They serve them with either ranch or bleu cheese — and it’s the good ranch that’s watery enough to dip, but not so thick that you can’t taste the sauce. Although you don’t even need the ranch when you order the double-dipped because they’re packing the flavor. Find them on Fillmore next to the iconic Omelette Parlor.

Deluxe Wingz

The Southeast wing joint calls these the best wingz in the galaxy, and we can’t deny they are pretty dang good. The sauces are bold and delicious, but the dry rubb wings are really what set this spot apart. We suggest ordering the Triple Threat, which features the signature dry rub flavors all in one. They’ve also got a ton of no-heat options, making it easy to feed the kiddos too.

Pho King Wing

If you like your wings juicy, you’ve got to taste the injected wings from Pho King Wing. (See what they did there?) This pho and wings restaurant at Flintridge and Academy offers traditional wings, along with their flavored butter-infused wings. Choose from lemon butter, Cajun butter or black garlic butter. It’s similar to a fried turkey, dripping on the inside and crispy on the outside. Mix and match sauce and butters for a true, full-flavor experience. We suggest the lemon pepper wings injected with the lemon butter.

Golden Flame Hot Wings

If you’re looking for more than just the typical Buffalo sauce, Golden Flame checks the box. They’ve got 20 options for sauces or dry rubs. Try the Colorado Fancy, which is a medium-hot smoky habanero flavor, or their signature Golden Flame sauce. The small Colorado-based chain has Springs local owners. And with locations on both the east and west sides of town (Stetson Hills and Garden of the Gods), you can easily pick them up on your way to that big game watch party.

The Public House

All the food from the Public House is exceptional, so it’s not surprising that they have some of the best wings in Colorado Springs. These guys are definitely elevated in flavor, but not so much that you don’t want to eat them while you’re watching a game and downing a beer. Their dill ranch is house-made and very dill-forward — perfect for cooling off the classic Buffalo or Nashville hot wings. If you’re not stuck on traditional, give their Sweet Chili wings a try. Take your pick between the Public House’s two locations at the Alexander (Nevada and Fillmore) and in Cheyenne Mountain.

The Hatch Cover Bar & Grill

The Hatch Cover has been one of the most affordable spots to get wings in Colorado Springs for years. It’s $8 for an order of 10 to dine-in, and they don’t skimp. If you like larger wings, this is your spot in Cheyenne Mountain. These wings are no frills — just solid bar wings, but great for watching the game. Just beware of the fire sauce — it’s “no refund” for a reason.
