The team behind Westside favorite 503W, brothers Emillio and Rollie Ortiz and Rollie’s wife Nina Lee, celebrated the grand opening of Caddie’s at Valley Hi Golf Course at the beginning of October, bringing a fresh swing to golf course dining.
The Valley Hi Golf Course has been a city-owned public course since 1975, and it offers scenic views of Pikes Peak and Cheyenne Mountain from its location on Chelton Road. The former Valley Hi Bar and Grill space underwent a full makeover including a re-energized bar and dining area.
Caddie’s innovative menu blends Asian and Latino influences with country club favorites, all at prices more approachable than typical golf course fare. Crowd-pleasing dishes include the Firecracker Nachos, a twist on the classic featuring choices of firecracker chicken, beef bulgogi or avocado served on crispy wonton chips and topped with bell pepper, onion, tomato, mozzarella and sriracha aioli. A standout from the creative cocktail menu is the No Divots – a caffeine-meets-tequila concoction of reposado tequila, cold brew, coffee liqueur, sweet vanilla foam and grated cinnamon. The cocktail promises to improve your golf game, but results may vary.
Caddie’s is open Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., with morning cafe service beginning at 8:30 a.m. Weekend brunch runs 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and the Grip It ‘N Rip It happy hour tees off daily from 3 to 6 p.m.
