Gunslinger Brewing

Gunslinger Brewing Company saddles up downtown.

Gunslinger Brewing Company has saddled up to take the reins of a downtown favorite brewery location, carrying forward the welcoming spirit of former Brass Brewing while forging its own path.

The downtown taproom holds a decade of local beer history. Brass Brewing opened in 2018, led by veterans Woody and Kellee Brigg. For seven years it was known for its welcoming space and easygoing beers. Before that, the location housed Triple S Brewing.

Now in its third act, Gunslinger Brewing describes itself as veteran- and family-owned, with roots in military service and a passion for community. Taking over a fully equipped brewhouse with an existing fan base has allowed for a smooth transition. To complement the beer, a small kitchen serves simple pub staples like hot pretzels and pressed paninis.

The tap list sets Gunslinger’s tone. The Old School Outlaw, a West Coast IPA, is described as dry, bitter and bursting with pine and citrus. Among the rotating selections, dubbed the Revolvers, is Jackalope Hoedown, a Belgian pale ale brewed in collaboration with fellow downtown brewery Urban Animal. With subtle tangerine notes and a smooth finish, it adds a bright counterpoint to the lineup.

The new Gunslinger aims to serve as a community saloon and welcoming watering hole.
