Downtown shoppers are about to discover new handmade Colorado-themed creations – just in time for holiday shopping. MountInspire will open Nov. 15, just steps away from Acacia Park, and it will feature nature-inspired pieces like copper jewelry, hand-stamped vintage flatware and photography.

Owner and artist Katie Cybulski has created, traveled and sold her handmade jewelry online since 2016. But once the doors of her first brick-and-mortar store open, her art, craft and story will all come together.

“Art, to me, is powerful. It speaks in ways that transcend language, reaching us on our own paths of growth and understanding,” Cybulski says. “I believe my purpose is to help others find light in their journey, to inspire and to remind us all of the beauty in being human.”

Her pieces reflect the belief that nature is a guide and that wearable art can serve as a reminder to explore life.

“Over the years, I’ve turned to literature as a way to express how life moves through me,” Cybulski says. “Hand-stamping words onto metal became a calming practice — one that helps me reflect, heal and share my personal journey with others.”

Shoppers will find story-rich gifts as a chance to shop local with heart. “I am an artist of many things, but when it comes to my copper jewelry, the story began shortly after I relocated to Colorado from Michigan,” Cybulski explains when asked about which pieces she is most excited about showcasing.

“Copper was heavily mined in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, and working with it allowed me to carry a piece of home with me,” she says. “In a place where silver and gold often take center stage, sharing the warmth and character of copper felt important. Beyond its beauty, copper holds many healing properties, which adds even more meaning to each piece I create.”

On opening day, Cybulski plans to surprise her first shoppers with her most meaningful pieces. For almost a decade, she has quietly held onto select creations — pieces she wasn’t ready to part with until the moment felt right.

“Over the past nine years of creating in Colorado, I have gathered and held onto pieces from my journey. Each one a small reflection of time, growth and inspiration. These treasures have been carefully kept, waiting for the right moment to be shared within the walls of my own shop,” Cybulski says.

That moment begins on opening day. “My mystery bags, filled with creations from my years in Colorado, will be available beginning Nov. 15.”
