The beautiful game takes to the stadiums of the United States, Mexico and Canada this month, bringing the eyes and fans of the world. Expanded to 48 teams, it’s the biggest FIFA World Cup ever, featuring 104 matches. The U.S. Men’s National Team has high expectations with arguably its most talented squad ever, but giants Spain, France and Argentina are widely considered the favorites to win the 2026 World Cup. Many pundits like Portugal and England’s chances to lift the trophy.
Whoever claims the truly global championship, there’s sure to be plenty of triumph, despair and drama along the way. There’s already been plenty of that in the buildup to the co-hosted cup, especially with astronomical ticket prices. Between that and the fact that Kansas City is the closest host city, we’re sure many local soccer fans will be watching the games at home. But part of the beauty of the World Cup is its ability to bring the world together, whether that’s in stadiums, sports bars or other collective screens. The shared energy of riding the emotional highs and lows of your favorite team is palpable. So where can you watch the World Cup in Colorado Springs? Here’s a rundown of some of the hot spots to hit June 11 – July 19.
And special shoutout to Duke Lacroix. The Switchbacks FC defender is on the roster for Haiti. He and Haitian teammate Carl Sainté, a midfielder for El Paso Locomotive FC, are the first two players in the USL Championship league to ever reach the World Cup.
The Brit Pub
Soccer is in the DNA of The Brit Pub, located right next to the Switchbacks’ Weidner Field. So it’s no surprise the football-centric pub is going all in, showing every game of the World Cup — plus broadcasting FOX21 Live from The Brit Pub, a show blending World Cup chat, live music and special guests inside the fully working pub. The idea is to create a lively, community-driven vibe with fans gathering, celebrating and being part of the action.
The show will reunite Brit Pub co-owner Nova with Krista Witiak, his former co-host of FOX21’s Loving Living Local. The format will be live with audience members invited in on the action as they enjoy food and drinks. The live shows happen on June 11 and July 2 at 6:30 p.m. Special guests will be part of each show.
“This is really a fun show, chatting with the locals in the pub and bringing people together,” Nova says. “We want anyone coming to hang out to wear a soccer jersey!”
“Working with Nova again feels like a proper reunion tour — same duo, same banter, just a slightly better venue called The Brit Pub!”
To be part of the show, be sure to arrive by 5:30 p.m. wearing a soccer jersey. And come back Saturday night, June 13, at 9 p.m. or after the Switchbacks game for a World Cup Kickoff Party with live music.
Besides the show, The Brit Pub will have a dedicated World Cup menu that includes buckets of beer for all games. “One of the highlights for us is we’re bringing the spice bag to The Brit Pub!” says Nova about the popular dish from Codswallop. “However, it’ll be a little more elevated, and we’re using a delicious blackened chicken. I named it Posh Spice (bag).”
And if you’re rooting for England on the pitch, you know you’ll find fellow fans at The Brit Pub. “I honestly think it will be a South American team [that wins the World Cup],” Nova says. “Now, do I want England to win? Of course!”
But don’t worry, you’ll find the American Outlaws Colorado Springs Chapter, the official fan club of U.S. Soccer, there throughout the World Cup too.
