Husband-wife duo Ron and Christen Sanders have opened their second Capriotti’s location in the Springs with plans to bring a third to the InterQuest Marketplace in the summer of 2023.
Capriotti’s is known for its wide array of sandwiches including The Bobbie, made with fresh oven-roasted turkey, cranberry sauce, stuffing and mayo; the Capastrami, made with hot pastrami, Swiss cheese, Russian dressing and homemade coleslaw; and the cheesesteak, made with premium steak, chicken or Impossible plant-based meat and melted cheese plus hot or sweet peppers. The Colorado Springs Capriotti’s will offer a convenient order-ahead option as well as third-party delivery services.
With their first location at Creekwalk Colorado Springs on S. Nevada Avenue, the Sanders sponsored the U.S. Air Force Academy Athletics (USAFA) and operated a concession at all USAFA home football games. They plan on growing this partnership with the addition of their second location.
In addition to sponsoring AFA Athletics and serving delicious food, the new location of Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop brings 24 new jobs to the city.
The newest location is now open near Powers and Barnes at 5856 Barnes Road.
