How to Do Date Night in Colorado Springs

New ways to make an impression on someone special, rekindle a romance or just get out on the town? Try these six itineraries in Colorado Springs.

Looking for new ways to make an impression on someone special, kindle (or rekindle) a romance or just get out on the town? We’ve got you covered with these six date itineraries. Go ahead and claim them as your own—we won’t tell.

New Love in Northgate

Begin at Overdrive Raceway for high-speed laps. After the finish line, drive a quarter-mile (in a real car now) to Bourbon Brothers Smokehouse & Tavern for Southern eats and your choice of over 100, what else?

Got no need for speed? Find fun and games instead at The Summit at Interquest for bowling (with table service), arcades, virtual reality or laser tag.

Best Foot Forward in Broadmoor

Head uphill to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo where you’ll feed giraffes and take in spectacular views from the Mountaineer chairlift. Then drive to the complimentary parking and transportation for The Broadmoor Seven Falls. Have dinner at the romantic Restaurant 1858 nestled in a natural canyon at the base of the scenic 180-foot falls.

Need a nightcap? Extend the evening at Tokki listening to musicianship over exceptional craft cocktails.

Make an Impression in Manitou Springs

Go for quaint and quirky in the historic enclave. Share a flight of beers with dinner at Manitou Brewing Co. Then walk a few blocks to the Penny Arcade; they have over 400 games, some dating back to the 1930s.

Pampering over pinball? Soothe yourselves in a mineral water soak at the SunWater Spa, or treat her to a massage or therapeutic treatment.

Dogs, Lovers, Dog Lovers

If you’re both single parents to fur babies, start with a breezy hike at Bear Creek Dog Park. Then treat the entire party of four-leggeds to a meal or drinks—and possibly trivia—at Pub Dog.

You passed pet approval? Score more pet points by shopping for each other’s significant doggos at the nearby Republic of Paws.

Interested? International? Ivywild

Enjoy a classic Bavarian dinner with your beloved at Edelweiss. Next up, participate in a murder mystery, cabaret or improv production at the Millibo Art Theatre.

Calling for an encore? Walk over for a denouement of drinks and dessert at Ivywild School, where your electives are The Principal’s Office, Bristol Brewing or Axe and the Oak Whiskey House.

Old Fashioned in Old Colorado City

In a historic building on Colorad Avenue, begin the enamored evening at Tapateria, a perfect spot for sharing tapas and small plates with extensive selections for wine pairings. Then, if it’s a Wednesday night, stroll to The Loft for swing-dance lessons.

Don’t let it end. After burning calories (and possibly pride), cozy up for a fireside toast at the Upstairs Wine Bar.
