Urban Animal Downtown

Urban Animal has a new den. The popular brewery in the Cheyenne Mountain area — one of our Best Breweries in Colorado Springs — officially opened its second location in downtown Colorado Springs, taking over the space previously occupied by Red Swing Brewing.

“We’re excited to expand beyond our Broadmoor location,” says partner Brian Bradigan, who is also a partner in Colorado Craft and The Archives downtown. “We love the downtown community, and opening this second spot gives us the opportunity to share our passion for bold, creative brews with even more of Colorado Springs.”

Bradigan along with partners Mike Centanne, Corey Steinbrink, Mandy Bradigan and Brian Laycock opened their first Urban Animal location in the fall of 2022 and worked to perfect bold brews infused with personality. The menu features must-try options like the Blueberry Ultrasuede — a tart but creamy oat sour blended with three types of oats, vanilla and a hefty dose of fresh blueberries. Another fall season favorite is the Nonna, a decadent oatmeal stout inspired by the flavors of the brewmaster’s grandmother’s cookies, featuring rich chocolate, almonds and raspberries.

Urban Animals downtown can enjoy music video bingo Mondays at 7 p.m. beginning Oct. 14 and trivia Thursdays at 7 p.m. beginning Oct. 10. The downtown location is open from noon to 9 p.m. daily.
