Colorado Springs’ culinary scene is adding a new Indian restaurant, Mausam, promising to take patrons on a sensory journey through generations of cherished recipes. The Westside restaurant will be located between Old Colorado City and Manitou Springs in the Safeway shopping center on Colorado Avenue. It is scheduled to open this spring.
Social media accounts for Mausam have been active, promising a fusion of old and bold flavors. Watch for a tapestry of flavors using spices from the North India to the coast of the South India, recipes passed through generations and a fusion of global dishes. Some previews from the menu include Dal Makhani shots and naan, tokri chaat and chicken tikka shawarma.
